About project
HiddenGems is a mobile app and web platform for discovering and booking local attractions: „hidden gems,” guided tours, and spots offering tickets or reservations. Users search for places on a map or within collections, check the details, and take immediate action—booking a date, buying a ticket, or signing up for a tour.
The platform also features a partner module: partners can create an account and independently add their own spots/tours (description, photos, location, prices, and availability). Additionally, users create their own discovery journals and can share them with others.

One of the key challenges was the optimal presentation of a very large number of locations on the map—in a way that maintains high performance, interface clarity, and search convenience for the user.

A significant challenge was also the standardization of attraction information from external providers, ensuring that the data remained consistent, legible, and valuable for the user regardless of the source.
